D. Joel Kurtz
As a small-town attorney, Joel Kurtz has a varied practice. His specialties include real estate and title issues; banking and collections; probate, trusts, and estate planning; municipal law; appeals; contract law; business formation and acquisition; commercial insurance disputes; construction law; elder law; and landlord-tenant law.
Prior to joining Williams Law Firm, he clerked for the Honorable Curtis L. Collier, Senior U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and for the Honorable Gerald Bard Tjoflat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Joel earned his law degree with honors from Duke University School of Law, where he was elected Order of the Coif and received the Dean’s Award in Property Law. Joel went to undergrad at Southern Adventist University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he received a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Business Administration.
Joel is currently admitted to practice in Arkansas and Oklahoma in both state and federal courts.
